Keep Our Republic invites students across Westmoreland and Washington Counties to create original artwork celebrating 250 years of American self-government.
Art work should reflect the ideals, history, and future of our nation, and what civic responsibility and self-government mean to the next generation. This is your chance to share what America means to you through art.
Eligibility
Who can enter
Residency / Attendance
Westmoreland and Washington County students
Open to all students who live in, attend school in, or participate in a summer program in Westmoreland County or Washington County, Pennsylvania.
Recommended grades
All students are invited to enter artwork
Original artwork submissions are encouraged by elementary, middle, and high school students. Share your artistic vision for America’s 250th anniversary and its Constitution by June 26, 2026.

Theme ideas
You can interpret “America 250” in many ways. Here are some starting points, but don’t feel limited to these ideas. Let your creativity guide you.

Guidelines

Original work only
No AI-generated art, stock images, or copyrighted characters or graphics. The design must be your own original creation.

Flat artwork only
No 3D elements or raised materials. Flat, 2D designs only.

Legibility matters
If your design includes text, keep it short, large, and easy to read from a distance.

Digital submissions accepted
Photograph or scan your finished artwork and submit as a single image file.

Multi-panel pieces
Diptych or triptych designs must be combined into one single image before uploading.
Accepted file formats
Recommended: at least 300 dpi, or a high-resolution photograph or scan of your original artwork, ready for printing and public display.

Selected art work featured on Keep Our Republic’s social media channels.
Community Display
Artwork shown at community locations and events in each county.
Public Exhibition
Finalists considered for printing and a public exhibit opportunity.
Awards
All in-person attendees will receive recognition and gifts.

Important notes
By entering, students and/or guardians grant Keep Our Republic permission to display and share submitted artwork for contest promotion purposes. All artwork will be credited to the student artist.
Keep Our Republic may request the original physical artwork from finalists for exhibition or printing purposes.
Artwork must be submitted by June 26, 2026.
