Judges view rare draft of U.S. Constitution in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — On Constitution Day, judges and community members gathered in Savannah to view a rare early draft of the U.S. Constitution.

Judges from across the country got a chance to see the 1787 draft, which contains the handwritten notes of Abraham Baldwin, one of Georgia’s signers. The document was created just weeks before the final version, and the Georgia Historical Society only brings it out for public viewing once every three years. …
