Armando Salud-Ambriz

Armando Salud-Ambriz is a dynamic and accomplished leader in election administration and civic engagement, currently serving as the Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters for Nevada County. With over 17 years of experience, he has built a reputation for advancing transparent, secure, and accessible elections while strengthening public trust in the democratic process.
Armando oversees all aspects of election administration, including voter registration, ballot design and certification, voting system security, vote-by-mail operations, and election transparency efforts. He has played a key role in implementing California’s Voter’s Choice Act model and is widely recognized for his leadership in modernizing election systems, combating misinformation, and proactively engaging communities to ensure confidence in election outcomes.
A nationally respected leader in his field, Armando served previously as Board Chair of the National Election Center Professional Education Program, where he helped guide the program’s curriculum and best practices for election officials across the country. He is currently the youngest County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters in the State of California.
