Benton Grubbs

Benton Grubbs is the Lead Elections Specialist for Douglas County, Colorado Office of the Clerk & Recorder. Throughout his day he oversees the day-to-day operations of the state’s voter registration system as well as voter relations. He previously worked for the South Carolina State Election Commission as a Training Coordinator where he traveled across the state and taught certification courses to county election staff.  Additionally, he interned for the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office and the United States House of Representatives.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mississippi State University. Benton is a graduate of the Master of Public Administration Program at Auburn University with a Graduate Certificate in Election Administration. Throughout his time at Auburn, he served as an Election Center Fellow and has been published in the Journal of Election of Administration, Research & Practice and focused on research regarding voter eligibility and administrative burden. Benton now calls the Rocky Mountains home, where he enjoys skiing, listening to live music, and traveling.
