Leslie C.(Les) Francis is a California native who has spent his entire career as a sought after political operative and public affairs consultant. Les served as a Chief of Staff in the U.S. Congress, he held senior positions in Jimmy Carter’s White House, including Deputy Assistant to the President for Congressional Liaison and Deputy Chief of Staff; he also served as Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Francis began his career in national politics as one of the early and principal organizers of the campaign that led to passage and ratification of the 26th Amendment to the Constitution, which established the right to vote at 18. Les and his wife Shari, and their two Brittany Spaniels, now live in El Dorado County, CA, where he is a registered No Party Preference voter.
