Sarah Alanis

Sarah Alanis is the Chief Deputy City Clerk in the Ann Arbor City Clerk’s Office. Sarah holds a B.A. in International Affairs and a minor in legal studies from John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. She has spent nearly eight years navigating the rewarding, and occasionally unpredictable world of elections and local government from Texas to Michigan. Along the way, she’s learned that preparation is everything but the ability to be adaptable and pivot in the ever-changing political climate has proven to be an invaluable skill for this career. She is excited to learn from this cohort, exchange ideas, and bring fresh perspectives back to her team.
