Sydney Romine

Sydney Romine serves as the Director of Elections for Surry County, North Carolina. After spending a short time away for college, Sydney was eager to return home and found her calling in election administration when she joined the Surry County Board of Elections in 2020 as the Elections Specialist. She later served as Deputy Director before being appointed Director of Elections. Sydney is passionate about public service and helping voters navigate the election process with confidence. She is committed to building trust in elections through transparency, voter education, and community engagement. When she’s not immersed in election preparations, Sydney enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
