Thomas B. Griffith

Thomas B. Griffith was appointed to the U. S. Court of Appeals for the D. C. Circuit by President George W. Bush in 2005. He stepped down from the court in 2020 and is now Special Counsel at Hunton Andrews Kurth, a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, and a Fellow at the Wheatley Institute at Brigham Young University. In 2021 President Biden appointed Judge Griffith to the President’s Commission on the Supreme Court. Long active in rule of law projects in the former communist nations of Eastern Europe, he is also a member of the Advisory Group of Experts that helps vet applicants to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
