Keep Our Republic Focuses on Election Security

Today, secretary of state Jocelyn Benson was joined by election officials from across the country for the Keep our Republic Forum. Today’s meeting, which was held at the Ford library in Ann arbor, focused on three key areas: Preparation and pre voting, election day itself and post election procedures.

Along with vote counting, Secretary Benson says: “While the people at the forum may have different political views, one thing they have in common is making sure the integrity of the election process in our country remains sound. …

“I’m proud that Michigan is ranked fifth in the nation by the election assistance commission for everything we do to improve and ensure consistently the accuracy of our voter rolls. I think you’ll find among my colleagues, we all do, and take that role very seriously of ensuring the accuracy of our voter rolls.” -Jocelyn Benson
